We are often on the lookout for talented and dedicated casual Disability Support Workers. Our support workers work with people with disabilities, the elderly, adults, as well as children above six years old. The people we support are located in the Metropolitan area of Adelaide, Northern Adelaide, Eastern Suburbs and Western suburbs.

Our service offers 24-hour care, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. We offer flexible rostered shifts, support for staff, and career progression opportunities

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months paid work experience in the Disability or Community sector. Alternatively, you can commence as a volunteer for a period of 4 weeks to be employed.

  • Certificate III in Disability

  • Certificate III in Aged Care

  • Certificate III in Individual Support

  • Certificate III in-Home and Community Care

  • Current Manual Handling certificate

  • Assist clients with Medication

  • Current First Aid certificate

  • Current CPR certificate

  • Satisfactory DCSI Disability Services Screening clearance (Child-related and/or Disability)

  • Child Safe Environment Certificate -Childcare only

Key Skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively

  • Friendly and professional

  • Excellent on teamwork and time management

  • Ability to work under direction or unsupervised

  • Passion for providing quality care

Essentials

  • Own car with at least third-party insurance

  • Satisfactory physical fitness

  • Right to work in Australia
