Christian Counselling
Our Christian Counselling is Christ-centred and takes a holistic approach which is focused on your mind, body and spirit. At Sanity Care you’ll find a safe and spiritual space where you can explore, be nurtured and grow within your relationships. Our approach is derived from evidence-based, best-practice therapeutic models (such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), while maintaining the principles of the word of God, the Bible, as a firm foundation and applying them in a consistent manner.
Sanity Care provides professional Christian counselling services to individuals, couples and families. Making the decision to get counselling can be difficult. Many of us find it painful to recognise that we need help, and we might need to change, especially when we call ourselves Christian. Christians often believe the need for help is a sign of spiritual weakness – that they should be able to rely on the Holy Spirit and overcome issues with prayer. The truth is that recognising that we need help is a sign of humility – a Godly value. Wanting to change and grow and become the best version of ourselves means we are better equipped to serve others and reflect the image of God.
Our Christian Counsellor has many years of experience in counselling and Christian ministry, so he understands and appreciates your Christian faith. Counselling services are based on Christian principles and place Christ at the centre while seeking to be supportive, compassionate, practical, and non- judgemental. Our Christian Counsellor will listen carefully to you and works side by side with you to design an innovative treatment plan that meets your unique needs. He brings a sensitive, intuitive and respectful approach to his work with individuals, couples and families.
Carefully applying the Word of God
The Bible is authoritative, but Christians often wield it like a weapon. Rest assured, here at Sanity Care, we won’t Bible bash you. We use God’s word, the Bible, carefully and to minister life and hope to others. “For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.” Hebrews 4:12.
The Word of God can guide us in teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to help us realise what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. All of this bathed in an attitude and atmosphere of love, not condemnation. Sanity Care offers professional Christian counselling services that you can trust.
