Individual Counselling
Individual Counselling doesn’t take the place of your usual support networks, such as your family and friends. Individual Counselling is instead designed to complement your conventional support networks, as well as to support you in ways your friends and family might not be able to. Individual Counselling can help you in many different ways: building self-confidence and self-esteem, clarifying and resolving issues of concern, identifying and solving relationship problems, improving work performance, improving interpersonal communication skills, learning how to resolve conflict, managing loss and grieving, and dealing with depression, stress and anxiety in life. We are qualified to assist you with: addiction, anger and stress management, healthy boundaries, life transitions, sex and relationships, and grief, loss and trauma.
In your therapeutic journey, you will become more self-aware and develop a better understanding of yourself. This understanding promotes greater self-acceptance and self-appreciation, encouraging you to continue to improve your strengths and to change for the better when necessary. As a result, you may become more willing to change your way of thinking, behaving and feeling. Along with self-awareness, you’ll also become more aware of those around you. You will understand others better – why they do what they do, what motivates them and what matters to them. This increased sensitivity and understanding opens the door to maintaining healthy relationships.
